We provided end-to-end manufacturing of the steel bracket shown here for a client in the fuel processing industry. Working with the customer drawing, we developed a series of operations, including blanking, piercing, and forming, that were performed in succession using standard tooling and both our turret press and press brake. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel to achieve close dimensional accuracy with a smooth surface finish, we welded the parts and then applied a textured black power coated finish with the durability to resist cracking and peeling in the extreme conditions found in an oil & gas processing environment.
When completed, the bracket had overall dimensions of 7.750” in length x 7.7” in width x 1.38” in height and dimensional inspection confirmed we upheld ±.0.10” tolerances. Our ability to provide an integrated solution for manufacturing and finishing it in compliance with ASTM B117 standards — with no tooling costs — saved the client significant expense.
