Designed for use in the metal processing industry on storage and shipping containers, it featured dimensions of 5.7” in length x 3.950” in width x 1.085” in height.
Careful planning of a controlled sequence of laser cutting and forming operations combined with flawlessly programmed CNC driven equipment allowed us to form the angles and contours to within close ±.005” dimensional and ±1° angular tolerances.
Additional operations consisted of sanding and deburring to prepare the workpieces for passivating, which we did according to QQ-P-35 standards to protect the stainless steel from damaging corrosion.
We completed 1,500 units in a four week timeframe. Tightly monitored production and attention to the smallest details ensured the elevated level of quality the client expected.
